The audience thought a goal was coming when Anestis Kakalis got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tuna Karal scored 1-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Samir Afacan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 21st minute of play forced Beşiktaş çArşı's goalkeeper Samir Afacan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Beşiktaş çArşı defense, Santino Seco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samir Afacan. The Beşiktaş çArşı fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samir Afacan should have stopped the shot. In the 29th minute of the match Colombia got a corner. Beşiktaş çArşı's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tuna Karal went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 36 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Tuna Karal came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute Santino Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samir Afacan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samir Afacan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 44th minute of play. Samir Afacan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pascual Carballar in the 60th minute. Axel Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Samir Afacan made a huge save. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Antonio Indiano kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Abram Secada took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Samir Afacan to make any attempt to save it. 79 minutes into the game, Abram Secada cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Samir Afacan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Samir Afacan made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Abram Secada sent off a good shot on target. If Tuna Karal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Colombia's Antonio Indiano managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Boudewijn Nelis in the 89 minute of the game. In the 92nd match minute, Beşiktaş çArşı was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boudewijn Nelis to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Beşiktaş çArşı's Samir Afacan got control of the ball when Abram Secada tried to sneak it across the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle.
