AVISMU FC's Urdin Pacheco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 21st minute of play. Urdin Pacheco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 34th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Urdin Pacheco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 41st minute of the match, Marco Lehen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dante Lacasa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Marco Lehen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Dante Lacasa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 42nd minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urdin Pacheco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Alberto Tafalla hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 莫旭谦 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Urdin Pacheco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
