The Green Zombies fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristinel Tomulescu should have stopped the shot. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zsigmond Tímár made a kick off. Cristinel Tomulescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute Zsigmond Tímár shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the game, Green Zombies's Zsigmond Tímár nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. When Green Zombies's Zsigmond Tímár in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Green Zombies booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harun Mustafa in the 71st minute of play. After having played for 76 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Green Zombies's Mihály Hidegkúti was substituted for Zsigmond Tímár. In the 83rd minute Walter Carter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristinel Tomulescu made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Venedikt Semenov hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Green Zombies's Cristinel Tomulescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 88th minute of play. 91 minutes into the game, Franciszek Sadlowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Green Zombies's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. After 91 played minutes Green Zombies got a freekick which was hit by Franciszek Sadlowski. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Walter Carter's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute, Franciszek Sadlowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
