Joel Gaona scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Armando Di Giuseppe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Armando Di Giuseppe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 11th minute of the match. Armando Di Giuseppe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Facundo Cadaval, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zygmunt Bendyk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Di Giuseppe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 33rd minute of play forced BROŃ RADOM's goalkeeper Armando Di Giuseppe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Di Giuseppe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when George Best sent off a good shot on target. Dante Lacasa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but George Best showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 35 minute of play. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anier Ongile in the 41st minute of play. BROŃ RADOM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anier Ongile was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Armando Di Giuseppe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Best in the 52nd minute of play. In the 52nd minute, George Best made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 61st minute, Zygmunt Bendyk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lorenzo Cazalla charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lorenzo Cazalla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Anier Ongile recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to BROŃ RADOM getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Petrică Corbeanu hit a great ball. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, BROŃ RADOM's goalkeeper Armando Di Giuseppe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Facundo Cadaval. With a little luck, BROŃ RADOM's Armando Di Giuseppe got control of the ball when Joel Gaona tried to sneak it across the goal line.
