The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, GLADIADORES's Marcel Catarinense got a free kick in the 4th minute. Wilson Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Andrei Cerbu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Sérgio Donato sent off a good shot on target. Anacleto Rozarius's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dante Lacasa firmly grabbed it by the left post. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Andrei Cerbu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 18th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anacleto Rozarius. Felix Luque hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anacleto Rozarius in the 23rd minute of play. Andrei Cerbu came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes GLADIADORES got a freekick which was hit by Walery Koprowski. Andrei Cerbu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 59th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sérgio Donato, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Andrei Cerbu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Andrei Cerbu made a huge save. Lorenzo Cazalla kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. GLADIADORES's Paşa Safih was substituted for Johannes Stein. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Lorenzo Cazalla got a free kick in the 70th minute. César Souto was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 71st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Andrei Cerbu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wilson Andrade went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The GLADIADORES players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
