Äliqulu Vermäliyev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 4th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joshua Garrido to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Äliqulu Vermäliyev tried to sneak it across the goal line. Colombia's Antonio Indiano quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Wu Fei, made in the 13th minute of the game. Sabin Pânzaru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 22nd minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabin Pânzaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sabin Pânzaru didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Axel Montenegro went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 36th minute, Axel Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sabin Pânzaru was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Bel Cross hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Pascual Carballar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sabin Pânzaru having to interfere. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Äliqulu Vermäliyev in the 42nd minute of play. If Carlo Borgatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Colombia were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Santino Seco hit a great ball. In the 51st minute, Carlo Borgatello left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Aquile Azzurre fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlo Borgatello in the 55th minute of play. Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlo Borgatello went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Äliqulu Vermäliyev in the 61st minute of play. FC Aquile Azzurre's Dinç Dede was substituted for Carlo Borgatello. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. FC Aquile Azzurre made a substitution. João Francisco Correia replaced Hardy Zingg. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Colombia's goalie and right to Dinç Dede. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Colombia's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Äliqulu Vermäliyev in the 76th minute of play. Bel Cross took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-3. 83 minutes into the match, FC Aquile Azzurre's Dinç Dede sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Manzanares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 86th minute Dinç Dede shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 87 minutes, Dinç Dede managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Aquile Azzurre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dinç Dede was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 90 minutes into the game, FC Aquile Azzurre's Dinç Dede nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-3. For all the effort they put into the match, the Colombia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Aquile Azzurre.
