Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Benknotorna getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Ted Apelqvist hit a great ball. Gustav Siöberg kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Benknotorna defense, Axel Tasis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arvin Ekerot. The Benknotorna fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arvin Ekerot should have stopped the shot. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Kurt Bure got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-1. Eliseo Noboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Arvin Ekerot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Kurt Bure tried to sneak it across the goal line. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Tasis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kurt Bure was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Benknotorna's zone, Lautaro Puig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arvin Ekerot came out of the goal and Lautaro Puig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kenneth Majman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Benknotorna's Arvin Ekerot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Benknotorna from getting a goal against them. Geraldo Trullols sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aris Dermitzakis hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After having played for 73 minutes, Axel Tasis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Tasis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Geraldo Trullols came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Benknotorna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geraldo Trullols couldn't finish the play. Axel Tasis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 80thth minute, Arvin Ekerot skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geraldo Trullols, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustav Siöberg in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. Geraldo Trullols fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Benknotorna had played much better football throughout.
