The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Inge Uggstedt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 9 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Inge Uggstedt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 12 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Bograngen's Inge Uggstedt. Inge Uggstedt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Inge Uggstedt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Bograngen defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Inge Uggstedt. The Bograngen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Inge Uggstedt should have stopped the shot. Krister Grönlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Krister Grönlund sent off a good shot on target. Bograngen's Inge Uggstedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 31st minute of play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 35th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Inge Uggstedt was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Inge Uggstedt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bograngen's Inge Uggstedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 42nd minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Inge Uggstedt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Bograngen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Luis Andino scored to the left of an out of position Inge Uggstedt, making the score, 0-9. 90 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-10, to the right of Bograngen's Inge Uggstedt. Inge Uggstedt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 93rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Saelices to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Deckbergh in the 94th minute of play. Ecuador played a much better game than Bograngen and deserved their victory. The Bograngen players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
