Davide Rinaldi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. Chile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Davide Rinaldi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Gerardo Pozo kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Orlando Casaus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando Casaus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fortunato Sangermano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mariano Lacasa scored 4-1 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fortunato Sangermano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Guillermo Fontirroig hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Fortunato Sangermano made a huge save. Orlando Casaus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Fortunato Sangermano made a huge save. Mariano Lacasa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fortunato Sangermano came out and tried to block the shot, but Mariano Lacasa slotted it home off the left post making it 4-2 in the 72nd minute. Herta Budino's Fortunato Sangermano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Herta Budino from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Fortunato Sangermano in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 94 minutes into the game, Mariano Lacasa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fortunato Sangermano. Mariano Lacasa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-4.
