Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xie Cheng Xiao in the 24th minute of play. After 27 minutes of play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anton Parov was left in no man's land by his defense there! 32 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of FC GAZprom's Anton Parov. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Sofoklis Siamantouras kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot.
The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. Anton Parov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 51st minute of play. The FC GAZprom supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mexico's performance. The match ended with a win for Mexico.
