Camilo Gisbert made in the 14th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Luis Andino. The audience was convinced that Slawomir Dobilas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Kazimierz Ludwa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. MaxF1 made a substitution. Edward Noworolnik replaced Olaf Szarmach. 87 minutes into the game, MaxF1's Wit Setara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Wit Setara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Wit Setara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The MaxF1 players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
