Milagros Fraga took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sylwester Wawro. Sylwester Wawro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Sylwester Wawro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Milagros Fraga in the 87th minute. Sylwester Wawro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Gallo in the 90th minute of the match. Rafael Gallo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Peru players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
