Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. Soulfly F.C.'s Aşkın Özgunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 3rd minute of play. Bumin Kağan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Aşkın Özgunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Soulfly F.C.'s Aşkın Özgunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 9th minute of play. Bumin Kağan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 18 played minutes Soulfly F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Rene Luzea. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 24 minutes into the match, Soulfly F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Aşkın Özgunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aşkın Özgunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Soulfly F.C.'s Aşkın Özgunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 26th minute of play. Herve de Neuyter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 39 minutes, Balaban Mirkelam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soulfly F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Balaban Mirkelam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 41 minutes into the game, Rene Luzea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Soulfly F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. A collision led to Soulfly F.C. getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erling Bennet to make the kick off. After 58 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rene Luzea who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Bumin Kağan managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. If Erling Bennet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bumin Kağan scored 1-0 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bumin Kağan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Aşkın Özgunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bumin Kağan in the 82nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute, Dagoberto Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Soulfly F.C.'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
