To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 43 minutes into the match, Plaza Babys CF's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Abelardo Macías reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abelardo Macías saved Plaza Babys CF from getting behind. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When Yasin Saleh came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Plaza Babys CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yasin Saleh couldn't finish the play. After 52 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montenegro. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Abelardo Macías made a huge save. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Plaza Babys CF's Abelardo Macías managed to reach the ball for a save. Abelardo Macías showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 57th minute of the match. Plaza Babys CF's Abelardo Macías played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 63rd minute of play. After 94 played minutes Felix Montenegro rounded Plaza Babys CF's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Plaza Babys CF throughout the match.
