The supporters of Venezuela booed when 淡泊明志&宁静致远 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. 谢夕国 didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute, 淡泊明志&宁静致远's 杜荣镇 dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The Venezuela fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to 淡泊明志&宁静致远 getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Gică Hagi hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Tomas Illescas sped through 淡泊明志&宁静致远's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of 董峰辉. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gică Hagi in the 43rd minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 杜荣镇 was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when 史松林 came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute 淡泊明志&宁静致远 were awarded a corner. 杜荣镇 went to the cornerflag to take it. Tomas Illescass short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got 董峰辉 to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 58 played minutes 淡泊明志&宁静致远 got a freekick which was hit by 吴梁潮. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. 董峰辉 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 董峰辉 having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guillermo Mariano during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gică Hagi in the 73rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After taking down the ball on 淡泊明志&宁静致远's corner 杜荣镇 fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by 史松林 in the 75th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gică Hagi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 84th minute, Gică Hagi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 88th minute, 史松林 made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. When the referee ended the match the 淡泊明志&宁静致远 players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
