If Valeriu Morovan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shi Ming Sheng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th minute, Kevin Mastache hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 14 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s Valeriu Morovan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Manzanares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Martin Crețu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Mastache in the 17th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Stiinta-Univ.'s zone, Axel Montenegro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Crețu came out of the goal and Axel Montenegro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th minute Shi Ming Sheng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute Aurel Panait shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Martin Crețu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stiinta-Univ.'s Martin Crețu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joshua Garrido in the 36th minute of play. After 40 played minutes Stiinta-Univ. got a freekick which was hit by Benjamim Urbano. Martin Crețu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 41st minute of play. Martin Crețu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santino Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Samuel Navarro kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Stiinta-Univ.'s Șerban Rușanu was substituted for Virgil Oargă. The wind increased when Abram Sarmiento made the kick off in the second half. Axel Montenegros short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Martin Crețu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Martin Crețu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 57th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Martin Crețu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Martin Crețu managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Colombia's Axel Montenegro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 66 minutes into the match, Axel Montenegro notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Stiinta-Univ.'s Martin Crețu. Martin Crețu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 77 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Aurel Panait came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 77th play minutes Okan Koc shot 3-2, a short shot which went by Pedro Manzanares and just under the crossbar into goal. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Stiinta-Univ. had played much better football throughout.
