Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 15th minute, Daniel Bertoni made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. When Yan Penha came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the O MOTIVO ⚽ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yan Penha couldn't finish the play. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 24th minute of play forced O MOTIVO ⚽'s goalkeeper Erivaldo Hermes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yan Penha in the 41st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Bertoni scored 2-0 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Andrew Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere.

The wind increased when Yan Penha made the kick off in the second half. Kazimierz Rosen shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Bertoni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by O MOTIVO ⚽'s Daniel Bertoni. But to his dismay, Daniel Bertoni quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 69th minute Yan Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Yan Penha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by O MOTIVO ⚽'s Daniel Bertoni. But to his dismay, Daniel Bertoni quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. In the 83rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erivaldo Hermes having to make a save. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Erivaldo Hermes made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. O MOTIVO ⚽'s Erivaldo Hermes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save O MOTIVO ⚽ from getting a goal against them. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. O MOTIVO ⚽ fully deserved thier win.
