Felix Montenegro had several of the Bayburtspor's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 72 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Mehmet Ali Eriş as he didn't even see the shot coming. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Mehmet Ali Eriş made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Bayburtspor's Aral Karataş got a free kick in the 86th minute. A collision led to Bayburtspor getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Adem Panas hit a great ball. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hıncal Hatırlı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bayburtspor were awarded a corner in the 93th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kahraman Durucan took the corner. In the 96th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Bayburtspor's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After having played for 96 minutes, Antonio Arias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonio Arias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
