Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the TRAFFIC FC defense, Alberto Tafalla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 于铮誉. The TRAFFIC FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 于铮誉 should have stopped the shot. Garth Basham might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Garth Basham ran back to his position shaking his head. The TRAFFIC FC fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when TRAFFIC FC's Gerardo Claus looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dante Lacasa was a little too slow when Garth Basham got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 28th minute. The score was now 2-2. A collision led to TRAFFIC FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Borimir Vringov hit a great ball. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garth Basham in the 34th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Oruña, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 36th minute of play forced TRAFFIC FC's goalkeeper 于铮誉 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 于铮誉 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 37th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yuri Ibrishimov. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garth Basham in the 48th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gerardo Claus to strike the kick off in the second half. 于铮誉 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute.
