In the 2nd match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Leoz to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Mexico booed when Estudiantes de rio IV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uriel Afonso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emilio Palos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 11th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de rio IV's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Emilio Palos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Estudiantes de rio IV's Emilio Palos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 21st minute of play. Dalmacio Musko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emilio Palos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 30th minute of play forced Estudiantes de rio IV's goalkeeper Emilio Palos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lautaro Mancebo might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emilio Palos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lautaro Mancebo ran back to his position shaking his head. Emilio Palos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 47th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dalmacio Musko to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute of the match Joel Gaona sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emilio Palos skillfully saved the ball. In the 56th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Palos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dalmacio Musko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emilio Palos was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Luca Zorita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luca Zorita really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. In the 77th minute, Leonardo Leoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Gaona blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emilio Palos having to make a save. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Segundo Gaxan in the 81st minute of play. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. After having played for 87 minutes, Dalmacio Musko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estudiantes de rio IV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dalmacio Musko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emilio Palos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 90th minute. In the 91st minute, Mexico's Joel Gaona dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Estudiantes de rio IV.
