The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Rivermania FC defense, Tomas Illescas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Severino Hulberto. The Rivermania FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Severino Hulberto should have stopped the shot. Erasmo Lorencio in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Rigoberto Mina hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Severino Hulberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 27th minute of play. Erasmo Lorencio had several of the Venezuela's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 28 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Jonathan Ferrant as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 34th minute of the match Rivermania FC got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Victor Bazkoare ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 38th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Jose Correa fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jose Correa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 42nd minute, Erasmo Lorencio made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Densill 李伟锋 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rosendo Flor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 62nd minute of play forced Rivermania FC's goalkeeper Severino Hulberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Severino Hulberto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Rosendo Flor came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosendo Flor in the 71st minute of play. The Rivermania FC fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when Rivermania FC's Rosendo Flor looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rivermania FC's Ana Tatangelo was substituted for Erasmo Lorencio. An unexpectedly hard shot by 叶翀文 in the 83rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ana Tatangelo in the 86th minute of the match. The Rivermania FC fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when Rivermania FC's Rosendo Flor looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rivermania FC's Abuy Husodo got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rosendo Flor in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. There was no doubt that Rivermania FC were the better team. Rivermania FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
