Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 3rd minute of play forced Maksimir's goalkeeper Antonio Križanec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Antonio Križanec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the game, Jose Correa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maksimir the free kick. After 16 minutes of play, Maksimir's Danijel Petrlin made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Šandor Dajčić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Danijel Petrlin let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 21st minute shot 3-0 at rihgt post. Maksimir's Miodrag Rozga managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Salvador Gisbert in the 25 minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Danijel Petrlin went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Danijel Petrlin sent off a good shot on target. In the 31st minute, Danijel Petrlin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 35th minute Danijel Petrlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danijel Petrlin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Danijel Petrlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Danijel Petrlin scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 6-0. Maksimir's Miodrag Rozga quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Salvador Gisbert, made in the 45th minute of the game. In the 46th minute Danijel Petrlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Danijel Petrlin was the one to do the kick off. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danijel Petrlin in the 52nd minute of play. In the 57thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maksimir's Antonio Križanec was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Danijel Petrlin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Danijel Petrlin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. After 62 minutes of play, Maksimir's Danijel Petrlin made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Maksimir made a substitution. Gradimir Antonić replaced Miodrag Rozga. Maksimir made a substitution. Maksim Delić replaced Marin Kuharić. Maksimir made a substitution. Adrijan Grbović replaced Danijel Petrlin. After 71 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Venezuela! In the 73rd minute there was a penalty for Maksimir. Adam Dodaj stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. 9-0. Adrijan Grbović's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Tomas Illescass short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Antonio Križanec to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Maksimir's goalkeeper Antonio Križanec, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adrijan Grbović in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Adrijan Grbović kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. 98 minutes into the game, Adrijan Grbović cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 12-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Maksimir.
