In the 6th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Salemme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adriano Corleone blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Adriano Corleone could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. After some careless play in the Savicevic Show defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armando Salemme. The Savicevic Show fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armando Salemme should have stopped the shot. 18 minutes into the match, Savicevic Show's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Armando Salemme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute. Savicevic Show's Alvaro Pazienza suffered a sore thigh after 20 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 20 minutes into the game, Luis Andino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Savicevic Show the free kick. Savicevic Show's Ferruccio Zuccarini was substituted for Alvaro Pazienza. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Luis Andino got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 23 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adriano Corleone. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adriano Corleone got free with Julio Vera in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Savicevic Show getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Ferruccio Zuccarini hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 29th minute of play forced Savicevic Show's goalkeeper Armando Salemme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Salemme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute, Eugenio Manfredi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th match minute, Savicevic Show was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugenio Manfredi to maneuver through the defense. Savicevic Show's Adriano Corleone got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adriano Corleone in the 45th minute.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adriano Corleone stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Salemme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armando Salemme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 52nd minute Ettore Moriggi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Savicevic Show was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Iannone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Armando Salemme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 60th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Juan Sebastián Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by Daniel Zorita got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Savicevic Show made a substitution. Fortunato Tomasso replaced Ettore Moriggi. Armando Salemme made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adriano Corleone in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. 77 minutes into the match, Savicevic Show's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Armando Salemme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Armando Salemme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armando Salemme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 85th play minutes Fortunato Tomasso shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Julio Vera and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 92nd minute Adriano Corleone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Armando Salemme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
