Facundo Cadaval sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Angelo Esteban's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelo Esteban helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Mexico booed when Asturcones d´la Abadía was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Esteban didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ermegildo Delgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ermegildo Delgado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ermegildo Delgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. David Valverde was slow to take the kick. During this time Asturcones d´la Abadía's players had a chance to rest. Filomeno Tormes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. With his leg Dante Lacasa managed to avoid a goal in the 32ndth minute, when Asturcones d´la Abadía's Filomeno Tormes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ermegildo Delgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Asturcones d´la Abadía's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Ermegildo Delgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Asturcones d´la Abadía defense, Lautaro Mancebo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ermegildo Delgado. The Asturcones d´la Abadía fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ermegildo Delgado should have stopped the shot. After 46 played minutes Asturcones d´la Abadía got a freekick which was hit by Gyula Szigligeti. Mexico's Joel Gaona couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 46th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Asturcones d´la Abadía. Muzaffer Yürük hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Zorita. After a defensive mix-up in Asturcones d´la Abadía's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ermegildo Delgado came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ermegildo Delgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 58th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Asturcones d´la Abadía's Veremundo Lastras got a free kick in the 61st minute. With a little luck, Asturcones d´la Abadía's Ermegildo Delgado got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Ermegildo Delgado made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Asturcones d´la Abadía's zone, Luca Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ermegildo Delgado came out of the goal and Luca Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Asturcones d´la Abadía's Enetz Carballeira was substituted for Filomeno Tormes. Ermegildo Delgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 84th minute of play. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 85th minute. In the 88th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermegildo Delgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 90th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ermegildo Delgado could save by the left post. After 91 minutes Asturcones d´la Abadía's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Lautaro Mancebo struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Ermegildo Delgado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Ermegildo Delgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 96th minute of play. 97 minutes into the match, Asturcones d´la Abadía's goalkeeper Ermegildo Delgado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. The Asturcones d´la Abadía fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexico were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
