Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the game, Berkin Dilsafa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tasso FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 2nd match minute, Tasso FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berkin Dilsafa to maneuver through the defense. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silverio Corderun narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Waldir Urbano struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tasso FC. 16 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Tasso FC's Silverio Corderun. Silverio Corderun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Waldir Urbano in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Waldir Urbano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. 23 minutes into the match, Tasso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Silverio Corderun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agustín Saelices recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Waldir Urbano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Waldir Urbano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldir Urbano in the 48th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Waldir Urbano to make the kick off. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldir Urbano in the 57th minute of play. Silverio Corderun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 59th minute of the match. When Waldir Urbano came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Tasso FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waldir Urbano couldn't finish the play. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Silverio Corderun made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silverio Corderun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldir Urbano, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Tasso FC made a substitution. Normando Fiúza replaced Waldir Urbano. Thanks to some nice moves Cristian Sancho could shoot a difficult shot in the 76th minute, which Silverio Corderun however easily saved by the left post. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. León Zambrano was slow to take the kick. During this time Tasso FC's players had a chance to rest. When Tasso FC's Normando Fiúza in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Camilo Gisbert made in the 89th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Luis Andino however managed to control. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Normando Fiúza's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Tasso FC were awarded a corner in the 91th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. León Zambrano took the corner. León Zambrano made a great header on Tasso FC's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. Ecuador played a much better game than Tasso FC and deserved their victory. The Tasso FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
