Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. George Buturugã took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Sulo Montaña could shoot a difficult shot in the 28th minute, which Rolando Noboa however easily saved by the left post. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sulo Montaña made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özgür Özbay in the 54th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A throw-in in the 57th minute of the game was made by Bektaş Veli Ülgü with Mehmet Akif Cerme as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 59th minute of play forced LOI's goalkeeper George Buturugã to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd match minute, LOI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bektaş Veli Ülgü to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the match, LOI's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but George Buturugã reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind LOI's goalkeeper George Buturugã, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 72nd minute Sulo Montaña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with George Buturugã in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julian Murillos short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got George Buturugã to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. LOI made a substitution. Tayyip Taylan replaced Ahmet Hamdi Ortan. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Milagros Fraga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Metin Semi scored 1-0 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rolando Noboa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. LOI were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Peru for a fine match.
