Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Mexico's Joel Gaona started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. 8 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Valette Stars's Adrien Tanneau. Adrien Tanneau was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 11th minute of play forced Valette Stars's goalkeeper Adrien Tanneau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Leonardo Leoz in the 19th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Valette Stars's Mathys Chassot. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrien Tanneau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adrien Tanneau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 31 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adrien Tanneau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 35th minute of play. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Valette Stars's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. The corner ended in Luca Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Valette Stars's Adrien Tanneau did a great save. In the 42nd minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrien Tanneau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guillaume Chaine stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Adrien Tanneau in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valette Stars's Adrien Tanneau proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Valette Stars from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillaume Chaine in the 59th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Mexico booed when Valette Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathys Chassot didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Valette Stars getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Mathys Chassot hit a great ball. Maurice Crochard hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. After 74 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Rouco. Maurice Crochard charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maurice Crochard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Adrien Tanneau was a little too slow when Luca Zorita got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 0-2. Rafail Rusev struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valette Stars. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Valette Stars throughout the match.
