Iker Txomin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. Julio Vera acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 7th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Roque Martxel. In the 8th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Txomin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th match minute, CSD Pte Derqui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roque Martxel to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to CSD Pte Derqui getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Horia Săliştean hit a great ball. Iker Txomin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 20th minute of play. In the 21stth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CSD Pte Derqui's Iker Txomin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 23rd minute. CSD Pte Derqui were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Roque Martxel took the corner. Hipolito Emenon hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iker Txomin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The nice shot from Zacarias Lidon in the 28thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Julio Vera had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. 35 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iker Txomin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 38 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iker Txomin. CSD Pte Derqui's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Zacarias Lidon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 47 minutes into the match, CSD Pte Derqui's Zacarias Lidon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. CSD Pte Derqui's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Roque Martxel in the 50th minute. The CSD Pte Derqui players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Iker Txomin in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The corner led to Ecuador's Luis Andino getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Demesio, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Demesio came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Ignacio Nayely left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CSD Pte Derqui fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mao Yuan Hong in the 88th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Demesio in the 95th minute of the match. Roque Martxel kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
