Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 2nd minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Leszek Huchro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartosz Gad in the 8th minute of the match. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by BESTIA GDAŃSK's Bartosz Gad. But to his dismay, Bartosz Gad quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leszek Huchro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leszek Huchro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. When BESTIA GDAŃSK's Albert Remus in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leszek Huchro having to interfere. The supporters of BESTIA GDAŃSK booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Bartosz Gad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 29th minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leszek Huchro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 32nd minute of play forced BESTIA GDAŃSK's goalkeeper Leszek Huchro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 40th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leszek Huchro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Remus came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
The audience was convinced that Albert Remus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. A nice corner shot did that Jozef Goegebeur got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Remus in the 57th minute of play. Albert Remus hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. After 61 minutes BESTIA GDAŃSK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Leszek Huchro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Albert Remus managed to get in a good position for a shot. BESTIA GDAŃSK's supporters rose to their feet, but Albert Remus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 69th minute BESTIA GDAŃSK were awarded a corner. Jozef Goegebeur went to the cornerflag to take it. Szymon Maziarski made a great header on BESTIA GDAŃSK's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of Ecuador booed when BESTIA GDAŃSK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jozef Goegebeur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leszek Huchro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Remus in the 79th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 89th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Leszek Huchro could save by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Albert Remus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Albert Remus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpected shot in the 94th minute by Cristian Sancho got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
