Sosnowiec's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Kacper Tobiáš reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a free kick in the 8th minute. Edin Džeko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 14thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C. Sosnowiec's Kacper Tobiáš was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Yu Sha Xu charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yu Sha Xu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 15 played minutes F.C. Sosnowiec got a freekick which was hit by Yu Sha Xu. Edin Džeko might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edin Džeko ran back to his position shaking his head. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edin Džeko in the 19th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Salvador Gisbert in the 22nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by F.C. Sosnowiec's Massem Mendes. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. F.C. Sosnowiec's Yu Sha Xu got his second yellow card of the match in the 25th minute. The referee ordered Yu Sha Xu off the ground. A sloppy throw-in by Massem Mendes in the 27th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert. When Leonard Lewkowicz came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the F.C. Sosnowiec fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonard Lewkowicz couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Venezuela booed when F.C. Sosnowiec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulryk Grocholski didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Tomas Illescas put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Kacper Tobiáš.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonard Lewkowicz to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Alex Chicote hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kacper Tobiáš firmly grabbed it by the left post. Leonard Lewkowicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Kacper Tobiáš came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas. But to his dismay, Tomas Illescas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The supporters of F.C. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kacper Tobiáš having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Patricio Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Edin Džeko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. The F.C. Sosnowiec supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Venezuela's performance. The match ended with a win for Venezuela.
