Carlos Eduardo Pernambucano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 6thth minute tested the skills of Dante Lacasa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 12 played minutes Tingara FC - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Lorenz Palacio. After a rather tough play, Tingara FC - DMZ's Frederic Humbelets got a free kick in the 14th minute. André de Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 23rd minute of play forced Tingara FC - DMZ's goalkeeper André de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Frederic Humbelets ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Luca Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. André de Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tingara FC - DMZ's André de Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 31st minute of play. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tingara FC - DMZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. Joel Gaona made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that Tingara FC - DMZ's André de Sousa managed to reach the ball for a save. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Dias, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 44th minute of play forced Tingara FC - DMZ's goalkeeper André de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Tafalla kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Mexico's Joel Gaona got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. André de Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 52nd minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, Tingara FC - DMZ's goalkeeper André de Sousa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. After 54 minutes Tingara FC - DMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Joel Gaona made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that Tingara FC - DMZ's André de Sousa managed to reach the ball for a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Joel Gaona slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of André de Sousa. That made the score 1-2 after 56 minutes of play. If Frederic Humbelets had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by Tingara FC - DMZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. André de Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 81st minute of the match. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 83rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and André de Sousa could save by the left post. In the 89th minute, Lautaro Mancebo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of André de Sousa. The goal made the score 1-3. A collision led to Tingara FC - DMZ getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Arneil Biddell hit a great ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Mexico had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
