Rodriguinho Sousa came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ralf Albäck in the 32nd minute of the match. Ralf Albäck could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. After a rather tough play, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Vilhelm Skoog got a free kick in the 42nd minute. 42 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Rodriguinho Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 44th minute of play forced ATHLETICO PRaiano's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Luz Tejedor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Rodriguinho Sousa made a huge save. Rodriguinho Sousa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 56th minute. In the 60thth minute of the game Julian Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ATHLETICO PRaiano's Rodriguinho Sousa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Peru booed when ATHLETICO PRaiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitor Beckenbauer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodriguinho Sousa was a little too slow when Julian Murillo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Rodriguinho Sousa in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rodriguinho Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Tenorio in the 90th minute of the match. The supporters of Peru booed when ATHLETICO PRaiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vilhelm Skoog didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peru's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
