Spectators: 51 (Terracing: 39, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. 8 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kyle Axisa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Sliema Dragons FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Sliema Dragons FC's Neil Deguara got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Robert Pullicino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luis Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. When Leon Desira fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sliema Dragons FC's protests and gave Leon Desira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st minute, Leon Desira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Sliema Dragons FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner led Ecuador's Cristian Sancho to fire away a dangerous shot which Kyle Axisa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 26th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Sliema Dragons FC's Kyle Axisa managed to reach the ball for a save. Kyle Axisa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luis Andino's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Kyle Axisa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Sliema Dragons FC defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kyle Axisa. The Sliema Dragons FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kyle Axisa should have stopped the shot. 36 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Kyle Axisa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kyle Axisa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kyle Axisa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robert Pullicino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 54th match minute, Sliema Dragons FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Colin Pullicino Orlando to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. In the 63rd minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 67th minute, Felix Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kyle Axisa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sliema Dragons FC's Kyle Axisa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 71st minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Borg came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sliema Dragons FC's Sean Miggiani got a free kick in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 80th minute of play forced Sliema Dragons FC's goalkeeper Kyle Axisa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kyle Axisa. That made the score 0-6 in the 82 minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Sliema Dragons FC's goalkeeper Kyle Axisa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kyle Axisa having to interfere. Sliema Dragons FC's Kyle Axisa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 90th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Kyle Axisa in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kyle Axisa. Kyle Axisa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sliema Dragons FC.
