Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hugo Frasco got the match started through his kick off. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind León FC's goalkeeper David Ospina, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gerardo Pozo hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the León FC defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Ospina. The León FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Ospina should have stopped the shot. A sloppy throw-in by Ryan Peterson in the 14th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Chile's Pedro Indiano. In the 15th minute, Mariano Lacasa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. David Ospina was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. David Ospina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. With a little luck, Chile's Thiago Pliego got control of the ball when Numbers Alex tried to sneak it across the goal line. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by León FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariano Lacasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Chile's players had a chance to rest. 26 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Ospina narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, León FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but David Ospina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Gerardo Pozo hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the game, Chile's Mariano Lacasa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. David Ospina made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mariano Lacasa made a kick off. With a little luck, León FC's David Ospina got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. León FC's David Ospina proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save León FC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with David Ospina in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Numbers Alex, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Mariano Lacasa could shoot a difficult shot in the 67th minute, which David Ospina however easily saved by the left post. León FC made a substitution. Gervasio Ted replaced Benicio Peruanton. León FC's Filiberto Checa was substituted for Hugo Frasco. In the 70th minute of the match Chile got a corner. León FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mariano Lacasa ran over to the corner to take the kick. A very nice done corner allowed Pedro Indiano to score against David Ospina in León FC's goal. 0-6 after 70 minutes. León FC made a substitution. Ladislao Primo replaced Numbers Alex. David Ospina was a little too slow when Mariano Lacasa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 0-7. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filiberto Checa in the 82nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filiberto Checa in the 84th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute Filiberto Checa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Chile eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
