Vítor Baia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugon Brzakala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Gocław Wilga Warszawa's Natalio Peter got control of the ball when Guido Vissenaeken tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Brugge United's zone, Hugon Brzakala stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vítor Baia came out of the goal and Hugon Brzakala tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 19 minutes into the match, Gocław Wilga Warszawa's Hugon Brzakala sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vítor Baia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Gocław Wilga Warszawa's Adam Chazon got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Guido Vissenaeken could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Natalio Peter made a huge save. After 37 played minutes Brugge United got a freekick which was hit by Herbert Pietrowicz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maciej Matela in the 39th minute of play forced Brugge United's goalkeeper Vítor Baia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Hugon Brzakala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brugge United's Arnauld Van Impe was substituted for Guido Vissenaeken. Brugge United's Waud Huijbrechts was substituted for Jaspar Van Den Broeck. Gocław Wilga Warszawa made a substitution. Wincenty Walczak replaced Maciej Matela. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dong Yuan Feng to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute Arnauld Van Impe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natalio Peter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gocław Wilga Warszawa's Patryk Popowicz managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sandro Gaúcho in the 67 minute of the game. In the 70th minute of the game Feliks Szel made a throw-in which Dong Yuan Feng played forward. A throw-in in the 76th minute of the game was made by Pankracy Nienajadlo with Dong Yuan Feng as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Natalio Peter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurențiu Roşculeţ in the 79th minute of the match. In the 88th minute Laurențiu Roşculeţ shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natalio Peter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Laurențiu Roşculeţ hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd match minute, Gocław Wilga Warszawa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pankracy Nienajadlo to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Arnauld Van Impe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brugge United's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnauld Van Impe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Natalio Peter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
