Dário Veríssimo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. After a rather tough play, ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC's Hasan Dokuzer got a free kick in the 12th minute. Dário Veríssimo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC's Dário Veríssimo did a great save. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bóas Bolas in the 17th minute of play. After some careless play in the ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC defense, Joel Gaona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dário Veríssimo. The ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dário Veríssimo should have stopped the shot. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Dário Veríssimo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Luca Rouco got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dário Veríssimo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 38th minute, Luca Rouco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dário Veríssimo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 47 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Dário Veríssimo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frederico Salazar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frederico Salazar in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC's Dário Veríssimo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC from getting a goal against them. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederico Salazar in the 59th minute of play. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frederico Salazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Frederico Salazar came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frederico Salazar couldn't finish the play. Lautaro Mancebo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dário Veríssimo having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Dário Veríssimo in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mexico's Joel Gaona was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dário Veríssimo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jedrzej Bazan struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. After having played for 77 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC's Dário Veríssimo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 82nd minute of play. In the 86th match minute, ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hasan Dokuzer to maneuver through the defense. Dário Veríssimo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Joel Gaona. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 89th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dário Veríssimo could save by the left post. In the 92nd match minute, ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frederico Salazar to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 93rd minute of play forced ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC's goalkeeper Dário Veríssimo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 94 played minutes ALF⚽RNEL⚽S FC got a freekick which was hit by Spyros Kouklakis. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederico Salazar in the 96th minute of play.
