Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Kleanthis Kostakoglou took the kick off in the first half of the match. Camilo Freixa made an important save on a dangerous shot by František Spousta in the 7th minute. Eduardo Fontirroig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Trent Cuevas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eduardo Fontirroig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute, Kleanthis Kostakoglou made a precise shot to the right of Camilo Freixa. Bolivia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kleanthis Kostakoglou in the 18th minute of play forced Bolivia's goalkeeper Camilo Freixa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kleanthis Kostakoglou might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Camilo Freixa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kleanthis Kostakoglou ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Chicote charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Julio Chicote the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Julio Chicote kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The long shot by František Spousta in the 23rd minute really tested Camilo Freixa's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Bolivia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Kleanthis Kostakoglou scored to the left of an out of position Camilo Freixa, making the score, 2-0. Julio Chicote took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Trent Cuevas. Trent Cuevas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 31st minute Eduardo Fontirroig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trent Cuevas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, FC Schalke 04's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Fernandino came free, but Trent Cuevas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the FC Schalke 04 defense, Julio Chicote kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Trent Cuevas. The FC Schalke 04 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Trent Cuevas should have stopped the shot. Bolivia's Julio Chicote got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mario Fernandino was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Theron Craven hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes into the match, Kleanthis Kostakoglou notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Bolivia's Camilo Freixa. Camilo Freixa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 60 minutes into the match, FC Schalke 04's goalkeeper Trent Cuevas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mario Fernandino. When Francisco Gallo fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bolivia's protests and gave Francisco Gallo a yellow card for diving instead. FC Schalke 04's Trent Cuevas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save FC Schalke 04 from getting a goal against them. In the 71st minute Kleanthis Kostakoglou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Freixa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Schalke 04's zone, Eduardo Fontirroig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trent Cuevas came out of the goal and Eduardo Fontirroig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eduardo Fontirroig might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Trent Cuevas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eduardo Fontirroig ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Eduardo Fontirroig took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Trent Cuevas to make any attempt to save it. After 94 played minutes Bolivia got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Fontirroig. Darren Christopher charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Darren Christopher the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FC Schalke 04's Darren Christopher got a free kick in the 96th minute.
