When KS Ruch Chorzów's Ponc Calderona in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. It was a penalty for KS Ruch Chorzów! Erez Manco had in the 14thth minute some difficulties stopping Jaime Cazalla's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When Ponc Calderona came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the KS Ruch Chorzów fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ponc Calderona couldn't finish the play. In the 18th minute, Klement Rzeszutko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KS Ruch Chorzów fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ponc Calderona in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. Erez Manco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Beldad in the 22nd minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Klement Rzeszutko's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Erez Manco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maximiliano Escribano went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 29th minute, KS Ruch Chorzów's Ponc Calderona ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. KS Ruch Chorzów's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dobromir Gdowski in the 35th minute. The corner ended in Dobromir Gdowski almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso did a great save. Francisco Seco struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Erez Manco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. Ponc Calderona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ponc Calderona got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bob Budovnits, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After 47 played minutes, KS Ruch Chorzów's Benedykt Erland shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in KS Ruch Chorzów reached it.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Klement Rzeszutko blasted a shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joaquin Gayoso having to make a save. In the 52nd minute, one of KS Ruch Chorzów:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for KS Ruch Chorzów. Jaime Cazalla placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Erez Manco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Cazalla in the 61st minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ponc Calderona in the 67th minute of the match. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Alberto Gisbert hit a great ball. KS Ruch Chorzów's André Luiz Xavier was substituted for Klement Rzeszutko. In the 69th minute, Alberto Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luiz Xavier in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute André Luiz Xavier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when André Luiz Xavier came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Luiz Xavier in the 77th minute of the match. Maximiliano Escribano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Erez Manco came out and tried to block the shot, but Maximiliano Escribano slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 79th minute. Ponc Calderona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luiz Xavier in the 85th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Luiz Xavier in the 87th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the match, André Luiz Xavier had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that André Luiz Xavier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. After 92 played minutes KS Ruch Chorzów got a freekick which was hit by Ponc Calderona. After some careless play in the Uruguay defense, André Luiz Xavier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The Uruguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin Gayoso should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Uruguay players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for KS Ruch Chorzów.
