Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) After a rather tough play, Mexico's Lorenzo Cazalla got a free kick in the 4th minute. After 5 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mexico! Mexico:s Dante Lacasa showed great skill when he stopped Xicu Abascal:s penalty. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Xicu Abascal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. After having played for 9 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Celtistas's Rodney Marines played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 13th minute of play. In the 16th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodney Marines saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodney Marines having to interfere. Rodney Marines took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Celtistas's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Rodney Marines reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lamberto Abajas kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nabucodonosor Campomanes in the 38th minute of the match. Rodney Marines made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 40th minute of play. A collision led to Celtistas getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Nabucodonosor Campomanes hit a great ball. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodney Marines having to interfere. Indar Gibert kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 63rd minute of play forced Celtistas's goalkeeper Rodney Marines to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodney Marines having to interfere. Rodney Marines made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 68th minute. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after Celtistas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Alberto Tafalla had several of the Celtistas's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 70 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Rodney Marines as he didn't even see the shot coming. 72 minutes into the match, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodney Marines narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 74th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Celtistas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nabucodonosor Campomanes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Mexico booed when Celtistas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dimo Novo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Celtistas's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Rodney Marines reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 90 played minutes Celtistas got a freekick which was hit by Lorencio Abasalo. After a defensive mix-up in Celtistas's zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodney Marines came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodney Marines having to interfere. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Celtistas throughout the match.
