Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Adrian Lohitzun sent off a good shot on target. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Miguel Ángel Hvalica was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Deportivo Álvarez's players had a chance to rest. Club Deportivo Álvarez's Can Ocakçı was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Juan Hvalica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Club Deportivo Álvarez's Juan Hvalica ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. 41 minutes into the game, Club Deportivo Álvarez's Juan Hvalica nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Adrian Lohitzun's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Jonathan Ferrant skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Lohitzun in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute Juan Hvalica shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Deportivo Álvarez's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
