Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Tastzian in the 25th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Agustín Tastzian put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Barrenta SC's Patric Isaksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 30th minute of play. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Urban Stenman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant stood somewhat misplaced when Agustín Tastzian came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 32 minute. Wellington de Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Gilmar da Rocha hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nariman Mansourian in the 40th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barrenta SC's Agustín Tastzian got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 44 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Patric Isaksson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Gilmar da Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 56 minutes into the match, Barrenta SC's goalkeeper Patric Isaksson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. When Barrenta SC's Agustín Tastzian in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Barrenta SC made a substitution. Genílson Leite replaced Urban Stenman. In the 66th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patric Isaksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genílson Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Fellipe Lago kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. In the 80th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fellipe Lago in the 84th minute of play. Patric Isaksson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 93rd minute. In the 94th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Agustín Tastzian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Barrenta SC fully deserved thier win.
