The audience thought a goal was coming when Fran Azofra got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Indalecio Blazquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Miralles, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Marcos Cotilla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fran Azofra in the 15th minute. The supporters of El Palmar booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Cambeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 48th minute of play forced El Palmar's goalkeeper Indalecio Blazquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee ignored Panama's protests and gave Abraham Alguacil a yellow card for diving instead. After 89 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Abraham Alguacil. After a rather tough play, El Palmar's FermÃn Nieto got a free kick in the 91st minute. Rami Zaplana's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rami Zaplana helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to El Palmar getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Rami Zaplana hit a great ball. The El Palmar supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Panama's performance. The match ended with a win for Panama.
