When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Vatan Mert sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Necati Ünsi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Necati Ünsi having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Abdurrezzak Kadrettin could shoot a difficult shot in the 16th minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. In the 17th minute of the match KOZAĞAÇSPOR got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cihan Terim ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 23 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. Seyrani Uzalp hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the KOZAĞAÇSPOR defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Necati Ünsi. The KOZAĞAÇSPOR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Necati Ünsi should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Necati Ünsi saved KOZAĞAÇSPOR from getting behind. Necati Ünsi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Luis Andino got a free kick in the 58th minute. Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Necati Ünsi made a huge save. In the 71st minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Necati Ünsi. KOZAĞAÇSPOR's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
