Fran Azofra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. In the 9thth minute of the game Abraham Alguacil who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Palmar's Indalecio Blazquez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fermín Nieto charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fermín Nieto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th match minute, El Palmar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fermín Nieto to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Berganza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19th minute Pedro Elguero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jose Carita got a throw-in 30 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Miguel Miralles. In the 32nd minute, Felipe Ros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Pedro Elguero fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Palmar's protests and gave Pedro Elguero a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 48th minute of play forced El Palmar's goalkeeper Indalecio Blazquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Panama had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
