In the 16thth minute of the game Ariel Telo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Luca Zorita notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of SA Samsunspor 2011's Alex Remiro. Alex Remiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 25th minute of play forced SA Samsunspor 2011's goalkeeper Alex Remiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alex Remiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ariel Telo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Lacasa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Ian Borromeo hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the game, Ariel Telo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa. Ariel Telo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. After the first half Mexico were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The crowd rose to their feet as Luca Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alex Remiro. That made the score 1-3 in the 52 minute of play. Alex Remiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Alex Remiro in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 59th minute, Ariel Telo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ian Borromeo in the 65th minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alex Remiro quite easily take care of the ball. 72 minutes into the game, SA Samsunspor 2011's Ariel Telo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by SA Samsunspor 2011's Ariel Telo. But to his dismay, Ariel Telo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Alex Remiro in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 89th minute Ariel Telo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ariel Telo scored 5-3 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
