Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Pantiș in the 3rd minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yin Li Ying. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ionică Corcoveanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 9th minute of the match. In the 10th minute Filip Pantiș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filip Pantiș kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th match minute, Eintracht Cernavoda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Huey Bom to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 16th minute of play forced Eintracht Cernavoda's goalkeeper Ionică Corcoveanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ionică Corcoveanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. When Yin Li Ying came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Eintracht Cernavoda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yin Li Ying couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 37th match minute, Eintracht Cernavoda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Huey Bom to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionică Corcoveanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Andino to maneuver through the defense. Yin Li Ying sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mikael Isak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Codrin Izbașa struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eintracht Cernavoda. In the 55th match minute, Eintracht Cernavoda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ionel Gâlcă to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the match, Eintracht Cernavoda's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Ionică Corcoveanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eintracht Cernavoda's Ionică Corcoveanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Eintracht Cernavoda from getting a goal against them. In the 65th minute, Yin Li Ying ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the match, Eintracht Cernavoda's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Ionică Corcoveanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ionică Corcoveanu. Ionică Corcoveanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The audience was convinced that Mikael Isak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Ionică Corcoveanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yin Li Ying in the 89th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Yin Li Ying's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. The Eintracht Cernavoda players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
