Jon Oblak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 2nd minute of the match. A collision led to Andarilhos getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Adriano Ramires hit a great ball. In the 7th minute, Luis Andino made a precise shot to the right of Jon Oblak. Andarilhos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Andarilhos's Fu Han Qiang sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fu Han Qiang in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Julio Vera, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience was convinced that Antony Bruno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. 22 minutes into the match, Andarilhos's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Jon Oblak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th match minute, Andarilhos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Ruas to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fu Han Qiang in the 25th minute. Jon Oblak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the game, Fu Han Qiang recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. Fu Han Qiang showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Andarilhos's Jon Oblak did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antony Bruno in the 34th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 37th minute of play forced Andarilhos's goalkeeper Jon Oblak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Montiel in the 41st minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Caetano Velasques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Jon Oblak made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. The corner ended in Cristian Sancho almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Andarilhos's Jon Oblak did a great save. In the 56th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Andarilhos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jon Oblak quite easily take care of the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Antony Bruno came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antony Bruno in the 59th minute of play. In the 59th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Sebastián Puig to maneuver through the defense. Gonzalo Montiel took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. When Jorge Ruas fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Andarilhos's protests and gave Jorge Ruas a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Andarilhos's Jorge Ruas got a free kick in the 64th minute. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fu Han Qiang in the 66th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antony Bruno in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Jon Oblak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Jon Oblak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antony Bruno in the 83rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fu Han Qiang's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Andarilhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fu Han Qiang didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andarilhos's Jon Oblak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Andarilhos from getting a goal against them. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 90th minute. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Andarilhos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Luis Andino got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jon Oblak quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The Andarilhos players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
