With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ionică Corcoveanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 12th minute, Ioan Ortacu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Mariano Lacasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ionică Corcoveanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thiago Pliego was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Filip Pantiș capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Filip Pantiș really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After 23 minutes of play, Chile's Mariano Lacasa made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ionică Corcoveanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 26th minute Filip Pantiș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ioan Ortacu charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ioan Ortacu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mariano Lacasa made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 52nd minute of play forced Eintracht Cernavoda's goalkeeper Ionică Corcoveanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ioan Ortacu got his second yellow card in the match during the 56th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Ioan Ortacu kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Mariano Lacasa could shoot a difficult shot in the 59th minute, which Ionică Corcoveanu however easily saved by the left post. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eintracht Cernavoda's Ionică Corcoveanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Eintracht Cernavoda from getting a goal against them. In the 63rd match minute, Eintracht Cernavoda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Codrin Izbașa to maneuver through the defense. Chile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yin Li Ying was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After 92 minutes, Orlando Casaus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chile and the Eintracht Cernavoda players grew even worse after the yellow card.
