Claudio Caniglias short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Pedro Manzanares to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Janusze Futbolu's 张学友 á Bø got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Colombia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. 张学友 á Bø was slow to take the kick. During this time Janusze Futbolu's players had a chance to rest. Kevin Mastache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter-Michael Schmeichel having to interfere. In the 19th minute of the match, Guillermo Erosa got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pedro Manzanares was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Nicolás Tagliafico took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Manzanares. Pedro Manzanares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norbert Jaktorowo, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Janusze Futbolu's Peter-Michael Schmeichel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 37th minute of play. Guillermo Erosa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norbert Jaktorowo in the 46th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abram Sarmiento to strike the kick off in the second half. Peter-Michael Schmeichel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 51st minute of play. In the 60th minute, Kevin Mastache got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 65th minute Abram Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter-Michael Schmeichel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kevin Mastache in the 68th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Janusze Futbolu's goalie and right to Abram Secada. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Janusze Futbolu's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Peter-Michael Schmeichel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 78th minute Ignacio Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter-Michael Schmeichel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Caniglia in the 79th minute of the match. Abram Secada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Janusze Futbolu's zone, Abram Secada stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peter-Michael Schmeichel came out of the goal and Abram Secada tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Peter-Michael Schmeichel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santino Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kapiton Bomba's late challenge caught a Colombia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kapiton Bomba helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Janusze Futbolu's Kapiton Bomba got a free kick in the 89th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 94th minute of play forced Janusze Futbolu's goalkeeper Peter-Michael Schmeichel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Colombia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
