In the 20th minute Norbert Jaktorowo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Peru booed when Janusze Futbolu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Çağdaş Quaresma didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peter-Michael Schmeichel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudio Caniglia got free with Rolando Noboa in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julian Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter-Michael Schmeichel having to interfere. Peter-Michael Schmeichel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milagros Fraga in the 29th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norbert Jaktorowo in the 30th minute of the match. When Janusze Futbolu's Norbert Jaktorowo, in the 30th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Janusze Futbolu. Janusze Futbolu's Peter-Michael Schmeichel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 33rd minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claudio Caniglia to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match Janusze Futbolu got a corner. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. 张学友 á Bø ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Janusze Futbolu's corner Danny Carey fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rolando Noboa quite easily take care of the ball. Milagros Fraga's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Peter-Michael Schmeichel firmly grabbed it by the left post. Janusze Futbolu made a substitution. Eugeniusz Osowski replaced Çağdaş Quaresma. In the 63rd minute, Efraim Gilabert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Caniglia in the 64th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the game, Milagros Fraga recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Peter-Michael Schmeichel. Milagros Fraga showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Milagros Fraga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Peter-Michael Schmeichel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norbert Jaktorowo in the 79th minute of play. Roch Banan kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. In the 89th minute, Roch Banan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Janusze Futbolu's Peter-Michael Schmeichel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Janusze Futbolu from getting a goal against them. Peru's Rafael Gallo got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peter-Michael Schmeichel made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Antonio Tenorio sent off a good shot on target. A nice corner shot did that Eliseo Mina got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Peter-Michael Schmeichel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
